Mini-quilts, each around 3 inches, are made from materials that won't work elsewhere: discarded synthetics from children's clothing and blouses, uncomfortable poly-blends, tiny remnants too small for anything but this—leftovers carrying colors or textures I'm not ready to let go of.
Each piece is improvised and hand-stitched, with raw or frayed edges and thread that moves across the surface like a line in a drawing. Their stitching is loose, intuitive, sometimes wild; small, playful experiments where I let unexpected textures and materials push beyond traditional quilting languages.
Mini-quilts are small enough to hold in your hand, pin to a wall or jacket, or tuck into a corner. Some people collect them; others commission a single piece as a talisman or gift.
